As a Junior (2000) Heather Haff impressed in her first season at Pittsburgh...appeared in all 32 matches and averaged 2.13 kills...led the Panthers with 1.12 blocks per game and 126 total...had 25 solo blocks and 101 block assists on the year...her 1.12 blocks ranked fifth in the Big East...in conference play, averaged 1.4 stops per game to also rank fifth in the league...recorded 20 service aces...notched a career-high eight blocks versus Georgetown (Oct. 28) with eight block assists...sank seven blocks twice...first came at Boston College (Oct. 1) with two solo and five assists...second time was Oct. 22 versus St. John's (two solo, five assists)...etched her name in the Panther record books with a stellar performance versus Seton Hall Nov. 4...hit .750 in the match to mark the third-best Pittsburgh performance ever...had 15 kills on 20 attempts without an error...had the sixth-best performance ever when she hit .714 against St. Francis (Pa.) on Oct. 11 with 10 kills on 14 attempts...had three double-doubles on the year...recorded 14 kills and 14 digs against Hofstra (Sept. 2)...had a career-high 16 kills and 18 digs versus Notre Dame (Oct. 8)...also added six blocks to that performance...posted 15 kills and 11 digs against Seton Hall (Nov. 11)...had nine double-figure kill and seven dig performances on the year.

At Kansas State (1997-99) Haff spent the previous three seasons at Kansas State...saw limited action as a freshman in 1997 as a middle blocker...appeared in five matches...recorded a near double-double on Nov. 5, 1997 with a career-high 10 kills and eight digs...blocked a career-high 10 shots in a Nov. 1 match versus Baylor that same season...opted to redshirt during her sophomore campaign...as a redshirt sophomore in 1999, Haff saw action in four matches and five games...recorded five kills, one dig and one block assist.

High School Haff was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at nearby North Allegheny High School...helped her team to four consecutive sectional championships and back-to-back state championships in 1993 and 1994...also captured the WPIAL Conference Championship in 1994 and 1996...earned first team all-state, all-section and all-WPIAL honors...hit .331 her senior year and tallied 171 kills...was selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches East-West All-Star game...earned numerous player of the week awards as a senior...played for the Mizuno Pittsburgh Golden Triangles U.S. Junior Olympic team that finished as the runner-up at the 1995 East Coast Championships and third at the 1995 National championships.
