Senior Night: Pitt vs. Virginia

Pitt swept Virginia on Senior Night to conclude its regular season.

Was a part of the first Pitt volleyball team to reach the NCAA Tournament in 12 years and the first to advance to the second round in 13 years… Recognized as an AVCA Division I All-American Honorable Mention… Named AVCA All-East Coast Region First Team… Named to the All-ACC First Team… Selected to the Preseason All-ACC Team… Named to the All-ACC Academic Team... Finished her career as Pitt’s all-time leader in total blocks (573) and block assists (509)… Ranks fifth in program history with 64 solo blocks… Recorded a team-high 160 total blocks, the sixth best single-season total in Pitt history… Tallied 144 block assists, the third-highest mark in program history… Became Pitt’s all-time leader in total blocks after a win against Georgia Tech where she recorded five total blocks… Her career .311 hitting percentage ranks sixth all-time in Panthers history… Finished the 2016 season with a hitting percentage of .353, the tenth-best single-season mark in program history… Recognized as an All-Tournament talent during the Panther Invitational… Recorded 14 kills and 10 total blocks in the NCAA tournament… Logged eight kills and four total blocks in a win over Virginia… Put down seven kills, one dig and three total blocks in a shutout win against Wake Forest… Recorded six kills, a .500 hitting percentage  and eight total blocks in a statement win over #8 North Carolina… Logged eight kills, one dig and six total blocks in a win over NC State… Notched eight kills, a season-high hitting percentage of .636 and four total blocks against #15 Florida State… Recorded seven kills and eight block assists in a win over Miami… Threw down seven kills and six total blocks against Duke… Tallied six kills, one dig and five total blocks during three sets in the Panthers shutout win over Robert Morris… Recorded 14 total blocks and 17 kills during the Panther Challenge… Had six kills and nine total blocks in a win over #22 Michigan… Put down 10 kills and three total blocks in a win over American… Logged nine kills and six total blocks in Pitt’s victory over Coastal Carolina… Recorded a double-double in a win over Colorado State with 10 kills and 10 total blocks... Finished the season with 208 total kills, a hitting percentage of .353 and team-high 160 total blocks.

Named to the All-ACC Academic Team…Played 120 sets and 31 matches in her redshirt freshman season…Tallied a total of 129 kills, 140 blocks and 14 digs this season…The 140 blocks was ninth most in a single-season, tying her for eighth in the ACC… Added four kills and five block assists in the win over South Dakota… Against Northeastern, had one kill and four block assists…At UConn, posted two kills and a season-high nine block assists… In the Purdue match, had seven kills and six block assists… Registered nine kills and two block assists versus Cornell…Contributed to the win over Rutgers with two kills and four block assists…In back-to-back conference matches against Clemson and Georgia Tech, Potts had three kills and three block assists in each match…In a 3-0 shutout victory over Virginia Tech, put down three kills and four block assists…Posted three kills and six block assists against conference foe Virginia… Racked up two kills and four block assists in the Syracuse match-up…Made four kills, one dig and tied her season-high of nine block assists at NC State…At North Carolina, added to her career statistics with two kills and three block assists…Tallied nine kills, three block assists and a season-high of two digs at Maryland…Had nine kills against Notre Dame…Posted a career-high 10 kills in addition to one dig and four block assists in the conference match versus Wake Forest…Recorded eight kills, six block assists and matched her season-high of two digs against Duke… Made eight kills and nine block assists in the 3-2 win at Boston College…In the NC State rematch, had seven kills, two digs and six block assists en route to a Panthers shutout over the Pack…In the final two conference wins of the season, tacked on 15 kills, two digs and eight block assists total at Virginia and Virginia Tech… Jenna was named to the All-ACC Academic team this season.
