As a Junior (2000) Alexandra Lacenere appeared in 26 matches and 78 games as a junior...played a valuable role as a defensive specialist and made some big plays...averaged 1.1 digs per game and had eight service aces...averaged 1.07 digs in conference play...saw action in all five games versus Arkansas (Sept. 8) and recorded a career-high 18 digs...had eight digs versus Hofstra (Sept. 2)...had six digs in three straight matches in November against Seton Hall (Nov. 4), Rutgers (Nov. 5) and West Virginia (Nov. 10)...had her first career block assist and kill at Georgetown on Oct. 28...recorded three service aces against Loyola (Md.) in the Bulldog Invitational. As a Sophomore (1999) Lacenere appeared in 19 matches (57 games) for the Panthers as a defensive specialist...averaged 1.28 digs per game overall and 1.31 in Big East Conference matches...played in every league match...set a career high in digs with nine in the final match of the season versus Boston College (Nov. 14)...also had a career-high three service aces against the Eagles...recorded seven digs five times...had seven digs in back-to-back matches versus James Madison (Sept. 17) and Wyoming (Sept. 19) as the Panthers captured the Pittsburgh Invitational title...had eight digs at Seton Hall (Oct. 30)...served Pittsburgh to two aces in a win over James Madison...also served two aces at Syracuse (Oct. 1). As a Freshman (1998) Lacenere saw her first collegiate action in the Harvard Classic...helped the Panthers to a 3-0 sweep over Manhattan Sept. 26 in the tournament and registered two digs. High School Lacenere was captain of 1996 and 1997 Keystone State Games Team for Volleyball...was a Gold Medalist at the Keystone State Games in 1997...was team captain for her North Allegheny High School Team where she lettered for coach Bob Miller...helped lead her team to three state championships....also a member of the diving team...named to the Section 3 All-Star Team...selected second-team All-WPIAL and first-team All-Area...was elected school president and served in several school government positions...was a Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Program and Scholarship Contest nominee...a member of the Christian Athletes Club...has been a volleyball instructor...is an accomplished pianist...named a Who's Who Among American High School Students...involved with several community service efforts, including Walk America and Habitat for Humanity...presented at the National Student Council Conference.
