Fisher Announces 2016 Summer Camps

Pitt Volleyball will host five camps throughout the summer.

Lindsey Campbell enters her fifth season at Pitt and her fifth season with head coach Dan Fisher. Prior to arriving at the University of Pittsburgh, Campbell spent two years as an assistant coach at Concordia University under Fisher.


- Helped lead the Panthers to their first NCAA tournament appearance in 12 years

- Coached a Pitt team that won over 20 games for the third consecutive year

- Being a defensive-minded coach, Campbell helped Jenna Potts towards ranking fifth in the ACC in blocks with 160 total blocks, averaging 1.32 per set, and fifth in the ACC in hitting percentage with .353.

- By helping defensively, Campbell aided the team towards a 25-9 overall record and a 15-5 record in the ACC

- Coached Angela Seman as she led the team in digs (486), finishing with 3.95 per set.

- While overseeing the defense, Pitt finished fourth in the ACC in opponent hitting percentage (0.177) and fourth in blocks (2.67/set)
- Oversaw Angela Seman as she led the team and finished fifth in the ACC in digs (4.55/set)
- With the help of a solid defense, Pitt finished with over 20 wins for consecutive seasons. This is the first occurrence since the team went back-to-back-to-back in 2002, 2003, and 2004
- As a primarily defensive coach, Campbell saw Pitt finish the season ranked second in the ACC in opponent hitting percentage (.166) and fifth in digs (14.70/set)
- Oversaw the progress of libero Delay Clesen, who put up 480 digs last season to finish with the second-most digs in program history (1,587)
- Helped the defensive play of junior middle-hitter Amanda Orchard, who notched 91 blocks and 71 digs during her All-American Honorable Mention season
- Pitt ended 2014 ranked sixth in the nation in assist (13.61/set), eighth in aces (1.74/set) and ninth in kills (14.32/set)
- Helped the Panthers improve from a conference winning percentage of .466 in 2012 to .550 in 2013

- Spent two seasons as an assistant to Dan Fisher prior to them both departing for Pitt
- Guided the team to a combined 75-2 record over two seasons, including a 38-0 campaign that culminated in the 2012 NAIA National Title

- Acted as the Director of Volleyball Operations for both the men’s and women’s teams.
AVP: Pro Beach Volleyball League | Volunteer Coordinator | 2009-10
- Organized all volunteers on sight and managed the ticket booth at each location throughout the tour
Tstreet Volleyball Club | Head Coach | 2010 & 2012
- Led both her 2010 and 2012 teams, which consisted of players that ranged in ages from 13-17, to compete in the Junior Olympics
Playing Career
- Played for Concordia University from 2004-08, where she was a three-time All-Conference middle blocker
- Named an NAIA All-America honoree in 2006 and 2007
- Holds school records for games played and block assists in addition to tallying more than 1,000 career kills
- Turned pro upon graduation from CU, playing for Innsbruck, Austria’s VC-Tirol from 2008-2009

- Earned her master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia in 2014
- Completed undergrad at Concordia in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business sports management

- California native from Dana Point
- Has a sister Jaclyn who lives in San Diego, Calif.
