AS A JUNIOR (2004)
Ashley White played in 26 matches in her first season with Pitt after transferring from Indiana...had a career high of six blocks against Colorado (Sept. 9) and North Carolina (Sept. 10)...also set or tied career highs in kills(11), digs(14), aces(1), and assists(4) since joining the Panthers... averaged 1.59 kills per game to rank fourth on the team had five or more kills 14 times...played in 80 games and recorded 37 total blocks...had nine kills and a career best three assists against Alabama (Sept. 18).
White played two seasons at Indiana University in the Big Ten Conference...played in 11 matches as a freshman in 2002, recording a total of 11 kills, four assists, six digs and five total blocks...saw her playing time increase as a sophomore last season, playing in 86 games for the Hoosiers...earned several starts at outside hitter in the middle of the season...posted 141 kills, 42 digs and 17 blocks...recorded a career-best 11 kills in three different matches, including Manhattan (Aug. 30), Southeast Missouri State (Sept. 6) and Western Kentucky (Sept. 20)...had a season-best five digs in a win over Iowa on Sept. 27...had two block assists in four different matches and recorded the first two block solos of her career in matches against Ohio State (Oct. 3) and Michigan State (Oct. 31).
Helped lead St. Charles East High to a No. 7 national ranking and an Illinois state championship as a senior...earned first-team All-Tri Cities honors that year, as well as all-conference honors and all-state special mention from the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune...also played club volleyball for Sports Performance/Mizuno under the direction of head coach Larry Kahl...helped lead her club team to a 16-1 record and a first-place finish at the AAU nationals in 2000...led Sports Performance/Mizuno to a repeat performance in 2001, finishing the season with a 17-1 mark...led club team to a ninth-place finish at the 2001 Junior Olympic nationals.
