PITTSBURGH--Head Coach Chris Beerman recorded his 250th career win and 150th win with the Panthers, as Pitt won a shutout 3-0 match over Seton Hall at Fitzgerald Field House this afternoon. The Panthers won with scores of 30-15, 30-20 and 30-19.

In the short eight years Beerman has coached at Pitt, he improved to 150-84 with today's victory. He is now 250-120 overall.

Leading the Panthers, senior Diana Andreyko (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 10 digs in the contest.

Also recording double digit kills was sophomore Meagan Dooley (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), who posted 13 kills in the match. Freshman Emily Burke (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral) tallied a match-high 41 assists.

Pitt (10-8, 4-1 Big East) and Seton Hall (10-8, 1-4 Big East) were all tied up in game three, 11-11, before Pitt went on a 6-2 run to take a 17-13 lead. Dooley then extended the Panthers' lead as she recorded an ace and served the next three Pitt points.

The Panthers won the match on a service error from Seton Hall.

Andreyko gave the Panthers a 9-3 lead early in game two when she recorded a solo block. Later, junior Jessica Moses (North Olmsted, Ohio/Lutheran West) extended the lead to 18-9 when she attacked a long pass. Dooley also attacked a long pass from the Pirates, which put Pitt up 23-11 in the contest.

Junior Kelly Campbell (Mansfield, Ohio/Mansfield/Pacific) and Dooley assisted on a block late in the game to take a 27-16 lead, however Pitt would lose the next four of five balls before closing out the game.

In the first game of the match, the Panther took an 18-9 advantage following a long volley that finished with a kill from junior Stephanie Ross (Dayton, Ohio/Chaminade-Julienne). During that volley the Panthers gave Seton Hall three free balls before getting an opportunity for an attack.

Dooley gave Pitt a 23-13 lead when she rotated around Burke for the kill. The Panthers went on to win the game winning the next seven of nine points, including a block from Campbell on the final play of the game.

The Panthers host Villanova tomorrow, at 2 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Field House.
