PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh volleyball team captured the second of two Big East matches this past weekend with a 3-0 win over Boston College. The Panthers swept the Eagles (30-19, 30-18, 30-28) for their sixth win of the season.

Junior Carrie Norris (Fostoria, Ohio/Hopewell-Loudon) led the Panthers with her second triple-double of the weekend. She a team-high 13 kills, 22 assists and had 10 digs.

Pittsburgh's offense was evenly spread in the win with nine kills Hatlestad and eight from both Gini Ullery (Tracy, Calif./Tracy) and Dionne Hayden (Mitchellville, Md./Elizabeth Seton), to go along with Norris' 13. Hatlestad also added a match-high 13 digs, while Heather Haff (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) had 10 digs and three blocks.

The Panthers' record stands at 6-9 overall and 3-4 in the Big East. Pittsburgh returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 16 when its hosts Youngstown State in a nonconference match-up at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House.
