PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Panthers volleyball team swept visiting West Virginia, 3-0, tonight at Fitzgerald Field House to record their seventh win of the season.

Junior setter Carrie Norris (Fostoria, Ohio/Hopewell-Loudon) posted her fourth straight triple-double in the win with 12 kills, 20 assists and 12 digs.

Pittsburgh battled West Virginia in the first game to win, 30-27. The Panthers then went on to a decisive 30-17 victory in the second game before taking the match with a 30-23 win in game three.

Sophomore Wendy Hatlestad (Roseville, Minn./Roseville Area) also hit in double figures for Pittsburgh with a match-high 13 kills. Freshman Lindsey Macke (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) added 19 assists in the win.

Pittsburgh's record stands at 7-10 overall and 4-4 in the Big East. The Panthers return to action on Sunday, Oct. 21 when they host George Mason at 2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House.
