PITTSBURGH - After winning its final six matches of the regular season, the University of Pittsburgh volleyball team will carry that momentum into spring ball which started on Monday afternoon at Fitzgerald Field House.
The Panthers finished the season with an overall record of 19-14 and with a mark of 11-9 in their inaugural ACC season.
Pitt will look to contend for an ACC title in 2014 as the Panthers return all but two players from last year's squad in graduating seniors Monica Wignot and Maria Nicholas. Led by outside hitter Jessica Wynn, right side Kate Yeazel, setters Lindsey Zitzke and Jenna Jacobson, and libero Delaney Clesen, Pitt has its core nucleus returning for second year head coach Dan Fisher.
PittsburghPanthers.com will provide fans with updates all spring season long, which includes video features, photo galleries and Q&A's with student athletes and coaches, starting today with head coach Dan Fisher.
