Wignot had 13 kills against Kent State

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh volleyball team defeated Kent State (25-16, 25-20, 25-20, 25-14) inside Fitzgerald Field House on Saturday afternoon in the Panthers' first contest of the spring season.
Jessica Wynn connected on 18 of her 32 swings to lead the offense, while Monica Wignot tallied 13 spikes on 20 attempts and also added five service aces. Defensively, Delaney Clesen notched a team-high 13 digs, and Wynn had a team-best four blocks.
The Panthers continue their spring competition next weekend when they travel to Penn State. Pitt will play four matches while in Happy Valley.
