PRAGUE, Czech Republic -
Today was our last day to explore the city of Prague. We took a tram downtown where we were able to spend more time at our favorite places as well as explore the other areas of the city on our own. A few of us went to a museum, some went back to the Hradcany Castle to see the inside of St. Vetos Cathedral, and others spent the day shopping in the city.
The inside of St. Vetos Cathedral was beautiful, with stained glass windows and a small winding staircase that led to the top of the cathedral where we could see the entire city of Prague. This narrow staircase was not easy to climb, however, with there being a total of 287 steps. Melissa Stadelman even counted them all! We were on our own for lunch and decided to eat at some of the little cafes around the city, not forgetting about the great ice cream they have in Prague. Many of us also bought souvenirs today, with this being our last day in the city.
Dinner was amazing! We were served a number of authentic Czech dishes and appetizers. There were various sorts of chicken, dumplings, cheese, and potato pancakes, as well as crepes filled with chocolate, ice cream, fruit and whipped cream for dessert. Incredible!
Tonight Eurica is taking us to the biggest discoteque in the world, with five floors and different music being played on each floor. We are looking forward to the night as well as traveling to Vienna, Austria, tomorrow for a day full of sightseeing. Check tomorrow for more updates!
