PITTSBURGH--The Pitt volleyball team travels to its second tournament of the season, as it heads to the Miami Best Western Invitational in Oxford, Ohio this weekend. The Panthers face Wake Forest, No. 20 Michigan and host Miami on Friday, Aug. 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1.

Action begins at 5 p.m. on Friday for the Panthers (0-3), as they meet Wake Forest (0-0) for the first time in school history. Pitt later faces No. 20 Michigan (3-0) at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Pitt is 2-3 in its series against the Wolverines.

The Panthers' final contest of the invitational is at 7 p.m. against the tournament host, Miami (0-2). Pitt holds a 4-1 series lead over the Red Hawks.

Last weekend, the Panthers opened the 2007 season at the Arkansas Clarion Inn Invitational, where junior Kelly Campbell (Mansfield, Ohio/Mansfield/Pacific) earned all-tournament honors and sophomore Meagan Dooley (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was named to the Big East Conference's weekly honor roll.
