Campbell had a career-high 21 kills at Rutgers

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After a week in which she posted three straight double-doubles, Alexa Campbell of the University of Pittsburgh volleyball team has been named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Campbell collected 45 total kills in the three matches, including a career-high 21 at Rutgers in a five set victory.
The Macungie, Pa. native led the team in kills in all three contests. She began her week by registering 10 kills and 12 digs at Duquesne, and followed that up with 14 kills and 10 digs at Seton Hall. Against the Scarlet Knights, her 21 kills were the most by a Pitt player this season and Campbell also collected 12 digs.
The Panthers open up Big East home competition this weekend with matches against Cincinnati and No. 17 Louisville. The match against the Bearcats is set for Friday night at 7 p.m., and the match against Louisville is on Sunday at 2 p.m. inside Fitzgerald Field House.
