Field House Frenzy Promo - FREE

PITTSBURGH--Pitt's women's volleyball team will host its fourth annual Field House Frenzy this weekend, as the Panthers host two Big East opponents at Fitzgerald Field House. A perfect 8-0 at home, Pitt faces Marquette on Saturday and Syracuse on Sunday in 2 p.m. match-ups.

The Pitt-Marquette contest on Saturday will mark Pitt's fourth annual Field House Frenzy and Girl Scout Night. All tickets will be $1 and the match will feature men's basketball loyalty points, a serving contest for $20,000, a Student Spirit Contest, ResLife Challenge, a T-shirt toss and face painting for fans.

Hosting its fourth weekend of the season, the Panthers are in the midst of a perfect home record for the first time since 1987 when the Panthers went 13-0 at Fitzgerald Field House.

The Panthers are also looking to extend their current win streak after posting two wins, Robert Morris (3-1) and Big East rival WVU (3-0), last week. Junior middle hitter Jessica Moses (North Olmstead, Ohio/Lutheran West) led the Panthers with 23 kills and a .465 hitting percentage. Moses also chipped in 14 total blocks, eight digs, four service aces and one assist during that time.

Marquette (8-10, 5-3 Big East) travels to Pittsburgh, coming off two losses as they dropped matches against Wisc-Milwuakee (3-1) and to Syracuse (3-1). Senior Kimberley Todd recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the Golden Eagles, en route to being named to this week's Big East Honor Roll.

In their conference match of the week, the Orange (14-10, 4-4 Big East) evened their Big East record with a 3-1 win over Marquette. The team then defeated Long Island, 3-1. Over the week, redshirt junior April Ouigley recorded 54 assists for the Syracuse offense.

Last season Pitt defeated Marquette in a thrilling five-game victory, while falling to Syracuse, 2-3 in another five-game battle. Both matches will be available on gametracker at www.pittsburghpanthers.com.
