PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh women's volleyball team (12-13/4-8 ACC) will be back at home this weekend when it host Wake Forest (15-9/4-8 ACC) and No. 15 Duke (20-3/11-1 ACC) at the Fitzgerald Field House on Friday, November 8, and Sunday, November 10. Sunday's contest will air live on ESPN3.
Pitt is coming off a tough 3-2 match loss at Notre Dame last Sunday. Starting the match off with fire, the panthers are hoping to bring that same spark in hopes of winning the weekend match against Wake Forest.
Jessica Wynn leads the Panthers' offense with 296 kills. Close behind are Kate Yeazel with 258 and Mechael Guess with 216. Delaney Clesen is leading team in digs with 386, while Jenna Potts leads team blocks with a total of 98.
For Wake Forest, Kristin Grissom leads the way with 258 kills and 105 blocks, while for Duke Emily Sklar is the leading offensive contributor with 297 kills.
This will mark the first all-time meeting between the Panthers and Demon Deacons and the 10th all-time meeting between Duke and Pitt. The Panthers lead the all-time series 6-3 despite dropping the last meeting between the squads in 2005.
