PITTSBURGH-Sophomore Meagan Dooley of the women's volleyball team was one of seven Big East conference players to be named to the 2007 ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Team, announced by CoSida.

Dooley (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) earned District II Second Team honors as she maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, while recording 327 kills and a team-high 120 blocks on the season.

During the season, she moved into the fourth-best spot on the Panthers' career solo blocks list (65) and was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll.

To be nominated, student athletes must be a sophomore and carry a minimum GPA of 3.20.
